GREAT video!! I love United 737-500, in this airport was shot the airport scenes of the film Die Hard 2.

This was filmed May 25, 1992 and the first shot, is of a DC-10. Only this was in Denver. This was exactly 13 years to the date, that, that terrible day in Chicago happened.😢😮 By the way, I lived in Colorado for 22 years and I miss Stapleton Airport. Denver International may be larger but it doesn't evoke the love that Stapleton had.❤❤

Now this is my Denver airport, since I moved in 1990! Miss Continental Airlines. That little girl has to be about 34 now. How time flies! I remember eating at a restaurant along the runway, listening to the tower when I was a kid🙂

7:27 - I thought that United Airlines jet had the word "AVIATE" on its nose. Turns out it said "AV/ATE."

December 2, 1995 was my daughter's 6th birthday. !! I wish some of these airlines and liveries were still around. The golden age of jet travel is over ! 😮😢 It's not fun anymore and the jets these days, (April 18,2024), all look the same !! I'm sick of seeing winglets !!! The jets looked more beautiful and sleek without them

In October 2023, the last Airbus plane was retired from the fleet.

Absolutely love this! I love the 727s and 737-200s. Awesome, to see the NWA 727! Wish I could see a UAL or NWA 747, and a 757 in this view.

Pugsly and Carissa….pretty cool. Awesome to see the old Continental colors, and United too. I didn’t care much for the later Continental colors. I hate the new United, looks like Continental.

unbelievable. You guys literally flew over the house I was about to live in from 8th grade and onwards. The only housing tract. Didnt see it but it was in your field of view

The Swiss Air MD-11 @9.50 (HB-IWF) will crash off Nova Scotia as Swiss air flight 111 ~5 years after this video was shot.

Very cool, to see these. Stapleton was such a great airport, miss flying in and out of here. Not a fan of DIA and never was. Cool to have the planes cross overtop of your car when Stapleton was in use. Neat to see inside this place again as I remember it but seeing this reminds me even more. Also just so crazy to see all the old airlines that are no longer around.

Very cool, I moved to Colorado in November of '92 and remember Stapleton but man this really brought back memories. The Driving around part reminded me of pulling up when flying out of there.

I flew for Continental Express in 1989 - 1994. I flew the Beechcraft 1900s and the ATR 42. Eventually moved onto Continental airlines flying to MD 80s and the 737 fleet out of Newark New Jersey. I have now since retired from the airlines. The timing of this film May 1992 was at the pinnacle of activity at Denver Stapleton airport. I have fond memories….

Never flew into Stapleton but I did get a chance to fly Midwest Express.

Saw a lot of those NW planes with the red and gray livery. Worked for NW Airlink during this time. Was in flight school, and working as a ramp agent, and later ticket counter, helped pay the bills…..but barely. LOL

Great video - Nice watching those 757's taxi & take off. Interesting that even way back in 1989 Orange County had noise abatement restrictions so as you mentioned no 727's or DC-9's or JT8 737's.
